Our Commitment

Patinaverse LLC is committed to making patinaverse.com and our publications usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as a build requirement, not an afterthought.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Current status: partially conformant. "Partially conformant" means most of the content meets the standard, and we are actively working on the exceptions listed below. We state this honestly rather than claiming full conformance we have not independently verified.

What We Have Implemented

Semantic HTML structure with correct heading hierarchy and landmark regions
Full keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator
Color contrast meeting or exceeding WCAG AA ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text), verified programmatically before each release
Text alternatives for all meaningful images; decorative images correctly marked as such
Responsive layout tested from 375px width upward; content reflows without horizontal scrolling at 400% zoom
No content that flashes more than three times per second
Form fields with associated labels and clear, text-based error messages
Site functions with JavaScript disabled for all core content and navigation

Known Limitations

We disclose these plainly rather than leaving you to discover them:

PDF publications. Our workbooks are print-oriented documents with a fill-in structure. They include a document title and language tag, but are not yet fully tagged for screen reader navigation. If you use assistive technology and would like a publication in an accessible alternative format, email [email protected] and we will provide one at no additional charge. We regard this as an obligation, not a courtesy.
Third-party checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe on its own hosted interface. We have selected Stripe partly on accessibility grounds but do not control that interface directly.
Third-party retailers. Amazon, Gumroad, and Payhip control their own accessibility. We cannot remediate their platforms.

Please describe the problem and, if you can, the page and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to respond substantively within 10 business days, including a timeline for any fix or an accessible alternative in the meantime.

Assessment Approach

This statement is based on self-evaluation using automated testing (axe-core) run on every deployment, plus manual keyboard-navigation review before each major release. We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party audit, and we say so rather than implying a level of assurance we do not have.
